Udaipur

The city of Udaipur is located in the southern part of the state Rajasthan, near the Gujarat boarder. The abundance of lakes and the Aravalli Range acts as a boarder and separates the city from Thar Desert. The city is situated at 24.6 degree north latitude and 73.7 degree east longitude; it means that the climate of the area should be very hot during summer, heavy rain during rainy season and mild cold winters. In summer the temperature ranges from 28 degrees to 40 degrees along with the hot and dry winds makes the life tough here in summer, but the winters of Udaipur are too pleasant, temperature ranges 11 degrees to 28 degrees along with cold western wind. Udaipur acquires an area nearly 64 square kilometers having large area occupied by natural and artificial lakes, natural and artificial gardens and mountain valleys. The location of Udaipur makes it a trading hub, the traders of Rajasthan and Gujarat use Udaipur as storehouse of their goods and the traders of south as a resting place and negotiating site with other traders.
