Raneh Falls

Raneh Fall is known as the Grand Canyon of India, located close to the temples of Khajuraho. It is a natural water fall and has unique natural formations of canyons around the water fall. Experts say that the canyons are formed by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago and later waterfalls gave them the look as we see now. The entire canyon is five kilometer long and the depth of the canyon varies from five meters to fifty meters. The three types of igneous rocks having unique colors make the look of the waterfall more stunning. Due to formation of canyons the river is unable to navigate properly, this has given birth to many smaller waterfalls. However the main attraction of the place remains the biggest waterfall which is fed by Ken River.
