Sam Sand Dunes

The most popular tourist destinations of Jaisalmer has a big name DESERT SAFARI IN SAM SAND DUNES, the golden sand dunes 30 to 40 meters high continuously shifting with the force of wind, are a perfect pleasure to enjoy a camel ride. Sand dunes are the specialty of the desert but Sam Sand Dunes have more special among them, due to Desert Festival. Tourists generally visit the place during that festival but the area of Sam Sand Dunes is festive throughout the year. There are many camps running throughout the year to provide safari, lodging and food. During safari tourist have options to take lunch break or refreshment or snacks and drinks on dhabas (small food stalls). Many Hindi films have been shot here. Lots of resorts and desert camps are situated here providing accommodation and recreation with folk music and folk dances. There is a small village Khuri where many tourists stay in perfect Rajasthani village life style enjoying traditional Rajasthani cuisines, experiencing cool wind in nights and introspective silence and memorable night stay.
