  • Tazia Tower and Badal Palace Overview

Tazia Tower is one of the greatest tourist attractions in Golden City Jaisalmer, built in the Badal Palace complex the tower is praised for its design and a strong ancient history it carries with it. Various balconies of the Tazia Tower also have striking resemblance to the shrine which is a prime element in a number of Islamic festivals. The tower comprises five floors each holding a significant insight into the royal families it has been home to. Each of the floors also holds a uniquely crafted balcony, magnificent designs, carvings on the walls and ceilings reflecting the creative advancement of craftsmen of the era. The tower had been built by Rawal Berisal Singh to ensure the friendship of the royal family with Muslims of the state. Badal Palace is a cluster of structures with characterized carvings over walls and ceilings. Some members of royal family yet live here.
